september already? jeez...

hello old friend...

so I can't believe it's already September, the weather has changed a lot already, the days are hot and the nights are cool...just today, I was shivering a little and I had to wear a hoodie!  soon I won't be able to wear shorts! blah...oh well time to do some fall shopping! haha...

August was a hard month for me...coming back from vacation and getting back into the groove of things proved to be very difficult...I stopped going to the gym regularly, and despite my lack of money, I still found myself going out to eat and drink on the weekends...having little to no money can really put you in a depressing and stressful mental state...

but anyways, I'm finding it more and more difficult to write what I want to say when I blog...it just never comes out the right way, although there is still this inner desire to record what has happened in my life during these times...but perhaps writing sometime like this is enough for me to remember when I wrote this entry and for what reasons huh?

I guess I'm still finding my way through some things...

Be Safe and God Bless!

On the way home...

So we arrived in Singapore in the evening last night and we headed over to our hostel again, this time we had a room and it was big and the air con was awesome but Alexis had a strange feeling about the room, but it ended up being okay...

We headed over to Orchard Road to grab some food and then my friend Ross met up with us and took us to this chill bar that was like Queen, it was nice and quite packed, I'm so loving the scene over there! hehe

Headed home a then passed out and slept in... Woke up and packed up and checked out and headed over to Chinatown to eat some hawker food, I got hainanese chicken rice and it was so good! Then we walked through Chinatown and then went shopping on Orchard Road!
I stopped by French Connection and bought some cute shorts and then we went to G-Star where I did some major damage, I bought my first pair of jeans from there and two shirts, but they were so cute and Alexis agrees so I have no regrets! hehe
After that we checked out VivoCity which was along the harborfront, we just chilled there and had pizza hut for dinner! haha it was good though!
Then we headed back to the hostel and picked up our things and headed to the airport, checked in and went to my gate and said my goodbye to alexis and now I'm heading home...

So sad to leave...

On the way back to Singapore!

So we spent only one night in Kuala Lumpur not thinking we would be so busy but we actually ended up doing a lot of cool things!

We arrived early to our hotel and when we checked in we requested two beds so they upgraded us to a bigger deluxe room! Mind you we were staying at the Sheraton so it was 5 star! And KL is noted as being the cheapest places to stay in a 5 star, we only paid US$125!!!

So we couldn't get into our room right away so we booked a tour because we wanted to see the Batu Caves which is a cave where a Hindu temple is. It turns out that our tour was a van with us only in it with a driver, so it was nice having a personal guide kind of... First we went to a place where they make Batik, the traditional dress of malaysians, and it was really cool to see how they made it... Then we went to a pewter factory, apparently the largest pewter factory in the world! They manufacture goods from the pewter like cups and tableware and the like, they were really nice and Alexis had to dissuade me from buying anything! haha

Then we went to the Batu Caves which turned out to be really cool! There was this huge statue of Buddha on the front and then these long steep stairs that we had to climb! Along the way there were all these monkeys playing on the stairs and keeping an eye out for food... Once you get to the top the view was really nice! The caves were cool, the caves are made with limestone so it was formed perhaps by the rain and such over hundreds of years...
After that the guide dropped us of in the chinatown area and we walked around and checked out some other sites in that area, including independence square and central market...

We finally made our way back to the hotel after that and when we entered our room we freaked out! It was sooooo BIG! and we had everything! Like even a ealk in closet and this huge bathroom! I had forgotten what it was like to stay in a 5-star!

Then we got ready for dinner and Claire met us at the hotel! Then we had this great Malaysian dinner and had a drink in this really cool trendy area, where I found out from the bar tender that they is a gay night at the bar next door that is very popular, but it was on Friday night so blah, maybe next time yah? hehe

Went home and passed out and woke up at like 6:30 so we could go up the Petronas Towers! thank goodness we got there early cuz the line got so long! So we waited for like ever and then around 9 we got to go up, but it was only to the sky bridge Whig is about half way up, but it was a good view and although it was for 10 minutes or so, it was free and definately well worth it! I love tall buildings!^^

Went back to the hotel and had this amazing breakfast buffet! Oh man like it was 5 star quality, fresh made juice, American food, Indian food, chinese noodles, and lots of yummy pastries!^^
Passed out for as long as we could to enjoy the time left in our amazing room and then packed up and met up with Claire again for lunch, we got some awesome middle eastern food! Then it was goodbye and off to the airport!

Kuala Lumpur was really nice! The people seemed nice and again it felt nice to be around my brown peoples! I wish that we had more time to in KL especially in that room that we got and to probably go out and see what the g scene is like, but I guess that will be for next time hehe

One more night in singapore! Time for partying and shopping!^^

On the plane to Kuala Lumpur!

So Phuket was amazing! The resort we chose to stay at was a great choice, we had a view of the ocean from our balcony and we could just walk onto the beach from the resort! Even though the beach is public, it basically was empty since the resort took up the whole beach!^^

We just relaxed the first night we got in, dipped our feet in the ocean and had a swim in the pool, then had a great Thai buffet dinner at the hotel...

The next day we woke up hella early to go on a boat excursion to some of the islands to the east of Phuket, Ko Phi Phi. And it was soooo much fun! We sat at the front of the speedboat and you could see everything! The sky was so beautiful and you could see so far and all these different islands, simply amazing...
We stopped on several islands, and was taken to a lagoon where one of the James Bond movies were filmed, and we also wen snorkeling! It was my first time and it was a little hard to adjust but I got the hang of it. There were so many cool fish to see but sadly a lot of the coral was dead, it was a reminder of how we really need to take care of the ocean... But yah we went to two different places to snorkel so it was definately worth it! Then we went to this small island to avoid some bad weather and just laid out for a while...
We headed back home and I found out that I got totally burnt on my forehead and nose and shoulders! ugh...

Then we headed into Patong, which is the main beach on the west side of Phuket, and it was okay, just very touristy, there was this one street just packed with people and the such... Me and Alexis were glad we chose to be far away from that... So we bought some stuff and then headed back to the resort...

The next day, we just relaxed, laid out on beach chairs by the pool and worked on our tans, and this time around I got his great tan! Thank goodness!

And today we had to wake up hella early to get on our flight to KL, so that's it...

It was just so nice to relax and feel no stress like I couldn't stop smiling everytime I would see the blue skies or the ocean... And my mind was free of thoughts and it was just peaceful, I don't think I'll ever forget that feeling... I can see why people do this, or need to do it!

Alexis explained the difference of vacationing and travelling, we definately were just vacationing in Phuket, and travelling in Singapore, I kind of like that vacationing idea, definately can't wait to do it with my future someone hehe...

Anyways, we are spending a night in KL, not sure what to expect but I think it will be a fun experience none the less!^^

On the plane to Phuket!

Singapore was awesome, got there on Saturday night, and the first thing I noticed immediately when I got off the airport was how diverse it was! Like I had forgotten how homogeneous Korea really is! It was almost a little culture shock actually, but a very pleasant and happy feeling, I mean they were all brown skinned like me! I felt like I fit in! hehe

So hopped onto the shuttle bus to the hostel and made friends with the other guy that was heading there, got to the hostel and freaked out when I saw Alexis! How awesome is it that we are travelling together!

The hostel was nice for the most part, clean and stuff, thank god I was right over the a/c too or I think I would have died! Haha

Anyways, headed out almost right away and met up with friends of the guy I had met on the bus, and then we went to a club in this really bustling part of the river called Clarke Quay, it was good hip hop music despite the pricey cover, at least we got two free drinks...

Woke up early the next morning to start touring the city, and when everyone said Singapore is a clean city, they weren't kidding! It was quite spotless! We stopped by orchard rd a huge shopping area to find dim sum, but headed over to chinatown instead and ended up at this awesome dim sum place! Then we walked around and checked out some temples and headed over to the raffles hotel which is this like super posh exclusive hotel and went to the long bar/pub? And got a Singapore Sling since it was apparently first invented at that hotel, it was okay tho...then we headed to this park and headed back to the hostel to freshen up...

Then we headed back over to Clarke Quay to have chili crab at jumbo seafood restaurant and to meet up with my friend who lives there, the food was soo good! Then we had a drink and then ne and my friend went to this club because it was men's night...

and omg it was soooo much fun! The drinks were a little pricey but the place was HUGE! and it was PACKED! like I had never seen so many hot buff guys ever! haha it was just nuts! Like the music was also awesome! Dance Remixes of popular music instead of that crap techno stuff! oh man I had such an awesome time, the weird part was that it was so different than what I am used to in Seoul, and like everyone was brown like me! Hahaha so I felt like I fit in just a little more! I'll be definately back for the nightlife!^^

Didn't do too much this morning, just walked around a little and then packed up, me and Alexis are totally excited for this part of the trip because we just want to RELAX!^^
